Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Short version: Orbilex only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to run the platform. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They are used to remember information about you between requests — for example, keeping you logged in as you navigate between pages.

2. Cookies we use

We use only the following cookies:

NamePurposeDuration
orbilex_session

Strictly necessary

Maintains your authenticated session across page loads.

Session

orbilex_csrf

orbilex_pref

3. Third-party cookies

Orbilex does not load any third-party scripts that set cookies on this website. If you integrate third-party payment gateways (Stripe, Paystack, etc.) within the platform, those services may set their own cookies in the embedded checkout flows — these are covered by the respective provider's cookie policies.

4. Strictly necessary cookies

The orbilex_session and orbilex_csrf cookies are “strictly necessary” under applicable privacy regulation. They cannot be disabled without breaking the platform — removing the session cookie will log you out. We do not require your prior consent to set these cookies.

The orbilex_pref cookie is “functional”: it stores UI preferences (sidebar state, theme) and is only set for authenticated users who have already accepted our Terms of Service. Because it is set exclusively within a logged-in session as part of the contracted service, we rely on contractual necessity rather than separate consent. It does not track you across sites or sessions, and is not shared with any third party.

If you are located in the EEA or UK and wish to object to the orbilex_pref cookie, you may clear it at any time via your browser settings (see §5 below) without losing access to the platform.

5. Managing cookies

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking session cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Orbilex dashboard. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or remove cookies. Material changes will be communicated by email and in-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
